Nourishing Your Body & Mind: 5 Self-Care Practices for Every Mom

February 11, 2019

Self-care doesn't mean me first, it simply means me too because self-care isn't selfish.

Whether you’re a new mom with a bub who still has you up at all hours or a mom with older kids who have you going from soccer games to sleepovers, one thing all moms never seem to have enough of is "me time"!

Hey, we get it...your kids are priority number one, but taking time for yourself is essential to your well-being and will make you a better mother!

So add a chill pill to your daily regimen, mama and get to relaxing with these 5 self-care rituals.

1. Enjoy a Self-massage

Who says you have to book an hour at a swanky salon and spend a pretty penny on making yourself feel good?

A self-massage is a wonderful way to treat yourself when you’re feeling overwhelmed and stressed, and it actually feels amazing if you do it correctly!

While you can do it any time of the day and anywhere, we encourage you to take just a few minutes in the evenings, light a candle, dim the lights and get massaging! You’ll be surprised at how loosened up you’ll be afterwards.

2. Start Journaling

journal is a great way to capture all your feel-good memories. By documenting the positive things in your life, you can revisit them any time you need a boost in confidence. We especially love the Alex Elle "Today I Affirm" Journal that nurtures self-care.

4. More Galentine's Days

Heartfelt face-to-face connection is key to lowering stress hormones and keeping perspective. Get in touch with your best gals over lunch, evening women’s circle or a walking date.  If you're strapped for time, even a phone call with a dear friend can boost your mood.

The key to looking and feeling your best!

5. Indulge in Luxurious Skincare

A skincare ritual is a great meditative process that makes you feel purely pampered and you're guaranteed to not only look good but feel pretty great too!

Ditch the chemically-laden conventional products and indulge in an aromatherapy session where you can infuse your skin with pure botanicals that will rejuvenate and uplift your senses!

We highly recommend the Rose Glow Trio,  our 3-step ritual that can be done in less than 5 minutes, as an uncomplicated addition to your day.

Let us know what other ways you've been pushing the reset button through self-care.
